Kilmainham Gaol
This short video was made of a family visit to Kilmainham Gaol on 3 October 2003. My Grandmother, Mairéad Mac Aonghusa (née deLappe) was jailed in Kilmainham during the Civil War and while there underwent a hunger strike. She wrote her name on her cell wall and this can be seen in the film. On the visit were Mairéad's son Micheál McGuinness, daughter Roisín Geoghegan, Daughter in-law Catherine McGuinness, granddaughter Caitríona Mac Aonghusa, grandson Donal Mac Aonghusa along with myself and Vivienne. Vivienne did the editing and we both did the filming.....

Hi Diarmuid unfortunately can't view this at work. But your grandmother is my great Aunt. Michael De Lappe
